I am so devastated to speak of my Uncle Eric’s passing.
Eric was truly one of a kind! Had a laugh that made you feel whole and was recognizable from anywhere in a room.
My favorite memory of Eric was a time at my grandparents cottage. A group of us was going from one cottage across the street to my grandparents cottage. My uncle Jeff thought it was a fantastic idea to go tough the woods instead of take the driveway.
We are walking through the deep, dark woods and all of a sudden hear a shuffling and grunting sound that sounds like it’s coming from the driveway. We immediately think BEAR! Jeff yells ‘everyone to the cottage’, and we start running for our lives.
We make it back to the cottage, slam and lock the doors. Then there is banging on the cottage door and then we hear it. Eric’s unmistakable laugh! I remember asking him why he did it. His response? ‘I tripped, so I just went with it’, with the biggest smile on his face.
I will miss you immensely Uncle Eric! Rest in Peace. I Love You.

To Sue and all the Sivell's. I was shocked to hear of Eric's untimely passing. I remember fondly the times we spent playing around in the neighbourhood or sometimes going out looking for a runaway Tess. We had a blast as kids and the memories will always be there. I pray for all of you to have peace in God and that all the memories of Eric will be just like him, Warm, Friendly and always with a laugh. I can still hear him saying all those years ago...."Yes Hilda"
God Bless you all

Sue I am absolutely devasted by Eric's passing. I really loved that man. You are so right when you speak of Eric's HUGS. When I received a hug from Eric I felt very secure and knew he was genuine. I have so many memories of Eric, both at Bob & Hilda's as well as at the cottage. He had a rapier sharp wit. He made me laugh so many times. His one liners were priceless!! The most memorable to me was when he gave is brother Bob the nickname "Bobby 2 pie". I am so very happy that you both found each other. You made an exceptional couple and the travelling you both did was wonderful. Eric will be greatly missed by his family as well as his large circle of friends he made all along the way.

This is certainly a very sad and unexpected time for everyone who knew Eric . This is such a huge loss for his family and friends . I have known Eric since we were kids and he has been a good friend for many decades . He was smart and witty and was part of the group of us who grew up together . Eric certainly found his niche in the service sector . He really was good with people and caring . He was working at Don Cherry's and I use to see him before the Sting games to have a beer . It was a busy time then but he always found time to talk . If you tried to get him going and spar with him you probably weren't going to do very well (he went easy on me) but we always had some good laughs . Our hearts and prayers are with his wife Susan & Family , the Sivell Family and all his numerous Friends .
