My sincere sympathy for the family. I lived 2 doors down years ago from Nan and she was a real fire cracker. Always tending to her yard front and back.

....My heart is shattered to hear of the passing of my sweet friend, Nan! I was so blessed to have come to know Nan during my walks with Thatcher, starting with teasing and sidewalk chats with Nan and Bill, as he sat and "supervised" her work on the front lawn. After Bill passed, the sidewalk talks became kitchen table discussions and lamentations, where we both found support and caring as we shared our concerns and joys over her endless plate of homemade goodies and a hot cuppa! I truly believe that Divine intervention had us meet when we did, as the arrival of Covid threw so many challenges into our lives, and long talks ended with uplifted spirits and huge hugs. Thatcher, my sweet Bouvier, shall forever stubbornly pull me to her front door, to beckon for treats, a cool drink and a rest on "gramma's" kitchen floor. However sad I may feel, I can see in my heart, a vision of Nan looking lovingly up into Bill's face who she had missed so much these past 3 yrs. I hope they are able to find a Heavenly dance floor or golf course, or maybe just a quiet spot to sit together and read, that she so lovingly spoke of. I send each and every one of you, much love and light as you deal with this huge loss. If I know Nan, she'll be right beside you, with her beloved Bill, every step of the way... I knew Nan and Bill through my parents (Don and Betty Small). I loved the creativity she brought to her home in the festive season. I will always remember her fall (hallowe'en) vest she wore and her infectious laugh. Rest in peace, Nan. Heather Fyfe

I am saddened to hear of Nans passing . We were good neighbors on Maple street for a few years. She had so much energy all the time, I could hardly keep up to her.
We shared many times together chatting and talking on the phone, she was a wealth of information. I will miss her very much. I am glad that the last time I saw her this summer we gave each other a big hug.

Carrie and Charlene & families:
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom and I first met at St. Patrick High School but reunited years later at St. Benedict Church where your mom and dad sat behind us every Saturday night without fail. Just before your dad got sick we started to have coffee at each others house every other Tuesday where we talked about every thing you could imagine including problems and old school days. I will really miss her. RIP Nan

Carrie and Charlene and families, I have so very many fond childhood memories of your Mom and Dad. If I close my eyes I can be right back in their yard by the pool. I can hear your Mom’s laugh and see your Dad lovingly looking at her. I am certain they are both greatly missed. You are all in my heart and my prayers.
