It was always a pleasure to exchange barbs with Des, his wonderful British humor and ability with words was always a delight to witness. Above all his willingness to engage through all the difficulties faced was inspirational.
Circumstances prevented my seeing him in the final years but Des, rest assured, this mad Welshman will think always think of you kindly because you were indeed, one of a kind.
