My condolences to my cousin Ron's family and friends. I hadn't seen Ron in many years as I moved east with my family but I have many fond memories from when we were younger. I love the photo you've used on the front-page, it captures a certain quality about Ron that I just can't put into words.

My condolences to the Hofsteede family. Hearing about Ronnie’s passing is very sad for me. Ronnie was my playmate for many years. Yes he was a few years older but I was taller by the time I was 8 so it all balanced out. We spent many days building forts in the woods, playing in our hay loft and playing many many games. Ronnie convinced your mom that if we played Bingo we needed prizes, which always guaranteed us candy! We thought it was a great manipulation of your mom but I’m sure she knew what we were up to. I was hoping to have a chance to reminisce with your brother about those days and some of the fun we had as teenagers. I believe he called the high school attendance posing as my brother the first time I skipped school. Ronnie was always kind to me and a good friend. Rest In Peace Ron. ❤️ Christine Van Deven
