Rick, Michele, Michaela, Harrison,
Sad news about Jim. Thinking back I remember how much he stayed busy outdoors. I could always count on seeing him out in the yard somewhere fixing something , cutting the grass with the antique mower , digging in his vegetable garden or just relaxing in his chair on the front porch. In his 80’s it was amazing to watch him enjoying his regular bicycle rides too. Jim was a kind neighbor and our family greatly appreciated his help and generosity. Goodbye Jim Dixon , Rest In Peace. So sorry to hear of uncle Jim's passing. Aunt Fern and I had made several trips the past couple of years to visit him at Fiddicks. In the summer we would always find him in the back yard sleeves and pant legs rolled up soaking up the sun-working on his tan. Always good visits, showing us new family pictures , and talking about the old farm house in Wilkesport. We were always updating him on family. Sincerest sympathy to Rick and Michelle and family.

I’m so sorry to hear of Jim’s death. I talked to him many times while visiting my family at Fiddicks. Turns out I went to school with Rick and we talk many times about St Pats. He always wanted me to come when you would visit but it never worked out. I hope you and your family can make it through these troubling times.

The family of the late Joe Barnes would like to express our sympathy on the passing of Jim. When Dad moved into Fiddick's he was so pleased to find Jim was living across the hall. They had so many conversations about old times, working at Polysar, and visits with Dad & Mom, our Aunt Flo & Uncle Steve, and Jim & Pauline. We smile when we think of Jim and Dad doing a road trip from Fiddick's to Sarnia. We enjoyed chatting to Jim when we would go to visit Dad. Even when Dad moved to the nursing side at Fiddick's, Jim would make a trip over to have a visit. Their friendship greatly helped with our Dad's quality of life at Fiddick's and hope Jim felt the same.
Sincerely, Cheryle (Bud), Gloria (Ray) and Ron (Charlie)

Dear Rick, Michele and family
My heart was very sad and heavy when I received the news about your dear father "Jim." He was an amazing man, a wonderful neighbour and so generous and kind to all of us, especially to my parents during their ailing years.
He lived a long life and your family made certain that he was well treated and loved at the nursing home. Paul and I did visit him some years ago and we had a great chat, I am happy about that.
I am disappointed that we will not be able to attend his funeral, however, I send our sincere condolences with loving thoughts and beautiful memories.
Sincerely,
Claire and Paul Penetanguishene Ontario

Rick, Michelle, Michaela and Harrison,
Your father and grandfather was an unique man. His longevity and youth attested to that. How we enjoyed his storytelling and we will truly miss his contagious laughter and jokes. He always got a mischievous look in his eyes when speaking of the past. May your memories be a source of comfort to all of you. Jim & Pat Capes & family
