Obituary of Deborah Jill Dignard

DIGNARD, Deborah Jill – Suddenly at her residence, Deb passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the age of 66. Beloved daughter of Gerald Theophil & Stella Dignard, Sarnia. Also surviving are special cousins Marjorie Benedict and Cheryl Sanderson and their families and several other cousins in the Bourque and Nahrgang families in Lambton County. She also leaves behind her good friends Dina Michetti Somers, Berni Gelinas, Faye Alin and Elise Stark as well as her long time co-workers at Giant Tiger by whom she will be greatly missed. Predeceased by her grandparents and many aunts and uncles. Deb graduated with an Arts Degree from the University of Guelph working several jobs until she settled back in Sarnia to work at The Mainframe Shop and then John Hus Photographers as a framer where she hand cut mats in her very precise ways for many years. After closing the shop, Deb ventured out on her own doing what she loved. She was fabulous at framing and mat cutting. Deb worked in the ladies department of the Northgate Giant Tiger for over 20 years where her quirky sense of humour will be sadly missed by all present and past staff and shoppers alike. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Deb’s life will be announced. Arrangements entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 519-344-3131. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Humane Society, Sarnia. Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
