I was saddened to hear that Richard passed away this week. My wife Joanne and myself want to extend our sincere condolences to Germaine and all the family.
I thought it appropriate to add these photos of Richard doing what he loved , and that was playing music with sons Denis and Mitch , as our band , Limited Edition , travelled near and far , performing for Traditional music loving fans across Canada.
My first remembrance of Richard was when we had a "gig" playing over CBC Radio 1550 in Windsor in 1983 . Richard also accompanied us to the Winnipeg Folk Festival where he performed with the band and was also featured in various workshops , wonderfully playing his accordion to admiring Festival fans.
We were fortunate to have him featured at many of our shows and proud parents Richard and Gerri often came to support us at other venues.
I can say that I am very thankful to have had the privilege of knowing Richard and of having had the opportunity of enjoying his music and company during the years he was with us.
