Was so sad to see Germaine had passed in 2016. She was my Godmother, my parents lived in Sarnia, Ont from 1976-83. They returned to live in Ireland when I was 4. I moved back to Canada in 2009 to the Maritimes, over the years thought of Germaine but had assumed she had passed until I did a recent search online to find out she only passed to join her beloved Charlie in 2016. Reflecting I am sad that I had been on the same continent for 7 years before she had left this world and wasn’t aware.
She was so good to my parents and us as kiddos.
RiP dear Germaine. Xo

Mrs. Wilson was the best caregiver a kindergartener could ask for. Forty year later, I still remember her kindness, her crepes, her voice, her black dog Spanky and how welcoming and warm she was. She is remembered with love. Condolences to the family.

Mrs. Wlison was a caregiver for my sisters and I when we lived on Sycamore. I have such fond memories of her and Charlie. We would play board games, enjoy her cooking and of course learn some French. She was kind and always welcoming as we returned for visits as we got older. She gave enormous hugs for such a petite lady! My condolences to the family.

When I was stationed at St, Benedict's from 1975-80 as associate priest and again as pastor from 1996-2007, I would bring Holy Communion to Germaine at home in her failing health. We had many wonderful discussions about the faith she loved and practiced. I thank God for her long and devoted life of service to God and the church. May she rest in peace and enjoy eternity in her heavenly home.

The condolence message is as follows:
"Andrew & Marc,
Please accept my condolences for the passing of aunt Germaine. I did meet Aunt Germaine once in New-Brunswick at my father's place (Hilarion Godin). She was then. married to Uncle Charles, my mother's brother, but I think this was before either of you were born. I remember her being a very nice and sweet lady.
My husband Claude joins me in sending you all our best.
Your cousin,
Rita
