Dear Peter and Matthew and Tom,
I have heard today about the funeral service on Wednesday, November 18 at the MacKenzie and Blundy funeral home and the reception afterwards at the Central Church. Before another moment passes I write to express encouragement for the living of your days in the generation we share. I have heard how your dad served your mom as she coped with her disability. That showed a transforming love. I remember the closeness we had as young people in the fellowship of like mind and heart that was life at Central United, Sarnia. I wish that richness of spirit for you where you live either in Stouffville, or in Collingwood, or in British Columbia. The verse appointed for Friday, November 20 may fit your circumstance. Isaiah 54:10 reads in part, "God says, 'Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, my faithful love for you will not be shaken...'." Having a parent pass is like having a mountain shaken and a hill removed. Being convinced of God's faithful love is solace for any soul. If you wish to be in further communication just let me know at blackcar@rogers.com
peace in believing,
Ross Carson
