Melissa and family Although we did not know your mother well the couple times we did meet her we found her a wonderfully pleasant and compassionate person. We were frankly shocked to hear of her passing and know it must be a great sorry to you to lose someone you were so close to. My first job was at the Drawbridge Inn at 16 years old. Not only was it my first job but I "grew" up there and spent 8 yrs. of my life there. I started out working as a bus girl as it was called in the day working with Sandy, Ina, Mary, and Linda in the beautiful dining room and eventually worked my way up to the front desk. The Drawbridge Inn and the people who worked there became my second family, Sandy became my "second" Mom. I grew up with her kids and I felt I could always go to her to talk to and she always was there for us lending support, advice, comfort and love. There are far too many memories that I can think of to post here, I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing and I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Michele, Melissa and Mark and their families. I will see you at the visitation and funeral services. Much love to you all, Julie xo

I worked with this wonderful woman for over 25 years at the Drawbridge Inn. She was always so upbeat and fun to work with. I don't think that in all the years that I have known Sandy that I have ever heard a bad word said about her. My condolences to her much loved husband Max and to her children. I worked with 3 of them at the hotel, Melissa, Mark and the late Mike. I will never forget you Sandy. RIP my friend.
