Obituary of Marilynn Joan Fox
FOX, Marilynn Joan (nee Payne) – Peacefully with her family by her side, Marilynn Fox passed away at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Friday, July 19, 2024, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late James Fox. Loving mother of Cherylynn Fox, Charlotte Coles (Darryl) and Christopher Fox. Cherished grandmother of Ethan Tar, Sheldon Bell, Ivy Lynn Bell, Kyler Abrams and Addison Fox-Abrams. Dear sister of Raymond Payne (Jennifer) and Elizabeth Cusden (late Brian). Predeceased by her parents.
Marilynn worked in accounts payable for Ethyl and BASF for many years. She was an extremely dotting mother and a very kind and giving person. Marilynn went over and beyond to make sure her children and grandchildren were happy. She was an excellent baker and always busy doing crafts such as ceramics and crocheting. Being a talented seamstress, making some of the kid’s clothing, Halloween and concert costumes. She made every holiday an event. Marilynn was a scout leader, softball coach for her children and took them to all their sports and music lessons. Marilynn was dedicated to her church, her church community and to God. She grew up in Corunna and really loved her community. Her door was always open, and if you stopped in you would be welcomed with a cup of Red Rose tea, something she drank religiously throughout the day. Marilynn loved nature, birds and animals of all kinds. Having a green thumb, she enjoyed spending time in her garden. People in the community would see Marilynn walking her dogs several times a day. Every summer Marilynn and James would rent a cottage for the family vacations. Marilynn, being from England never missed any news about the Royals. She will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 11 – 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
