Obituary of Dailey Lee Anderson

ANDERSON, Dailey Lee – Dailey passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the age of 81. Dear mother of Melanie St. Laurent (Paul), David Anderson (Chrissy), and Janet Anderson. Loving grandmother of Ben, Aidan, Ryleigh, Ty, Taija, Talan, and Nathan (Kylee) and great-grandmother of Elena and Morgan. Sister of Warren Reid (Marcey) and Glenn Reid (late Pauline). Predeceased by parents William and Daisy Reid and son Larry Anderson.

Dailey Lee was a very kind and caring person who always put the needs of others ahead of herself.  She was very proud of her life long dedication to her nursing profession where she had the opportunity to help others.  Her generosity was also conveyed through the numerous charities to which she regularly donated.  Upon retirement, her dedication was shifted to giving love and attention to her grand children and great grand children.  She was an active member of many organizations, including IODE and the Red Hat Society where she held many positions of prestige.  Her connection to her church was also very important to her.  Although her health declined over her final years, her love for her family never waivered and she continued to be an inspiration to all that new her.  She is now resting peacefully and reuniting with her late son Larry.  She will be missed by all.

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 5-7 p.m.  The funeral service will be held in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel on Thursday, July 4 at 1 p.m. Cremation will follow.
