Dear Jim and Rose, My deepest condolences on the passing of your mother (in law). No matter how old we are, we never seem to be quite ready to say goodbye to our parents. I never had the pleasure of meeting your mom but I heard many stories from Jim, who has very fond memories of her. May the happy memories sustain you all in the days ahead. Elly Vergunst

Mrs Rade -I knew her as a child growing up will always brings back fond memories. Jim and I were buddies for many years during our childhood and Mrs Rade was always there for us. Many lunches and dinners with her and her mom (babcia) were shared. I will always treasure those grade years.

I I remember Bernice Rade as an active member of the Sarnia community. I think she was an excellent mentor for young women in politics, at municipal level. I remember looking forward to reading her articles in the Sarnia Observer. Her opinions voiced, made a difference in our community for people getting heard. She was a respected friend of my family and relatives . She attended Our Lady Queen of Peace, The Polish Church. She was active in the Polish Community. She was a good listener. Our deepest condolences to your family on the loss of your dear mom. She was very close to our family as we were growing up and we have many memories of her love and dedication to serving others, the community and her dedication to the Catholic Church. I remember her sons being altar boys and her love and dedication to the polish church. She had a big heart and faith. Although our lives went separate ways I’ve never forgotten her love and kindness for people and she always stayed close to my relatives . I will be praying for her and will be getting a Mass for her soul. Grant eternal rest unto her O Lord and let your perpetual light shine upon her and may she rest in peace! Amen

Christopher and family I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. Although I had never met her personally, I very much enjoyed her column and her many Letters to the Editor. Her time on council had a huge impact on our community. We have lost a good, level-headed woman. My deepest sympathies to all of you. Anna De Carolis-Brady Old friend of Christopher.
