Obituary of David Edward McNeil

McNEIL, David Edward – Peacefully with his family by his side, David McNeil died at Bluewater Health on Saturday, March 2, 2024.  Beloved husband of the late Franny.  Loving father of John McNeil (Joey), Sarnia, Mark Fowler (CJ), North Carolina, Jeff Fowler, Michigan and Tansy (David) Kinzer, Michigan.  Cherished grandfather of Naomi MacLean-McNeil, Mikayla MacLean-McNeil, Topanga McNeil, Rian McNeil, Quayara McNeil, Kaidyn Lamb, Corey Fowler, Mark Jr. Fowler, Justic Fowler, Jeffrey Fowler, Nicholas Fowler, Seth Hanes, Matthew Hanes, Brandon Hanes, Sarah Tenhopen Rite Henry, Aaron Rounsoville and Brandy Cason.  Great grandfather of too many to count.  He is predeceased by his wife Franny, parents Stanely and Rhea McNeil, daughter Vicki Fowler, brothers William and John and his sister Dorothy Steinman. 

David loved his family, his children, grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. David cherished his time with his wife Franny and their trips to Las Vegas. Last but not least, he loved to watch Raider's football, talk trash and play golf with his sons and his friends. David had a long career as an owner in the taxi business and met many great friends along the way.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held March 30, 2024 starting at 2 p.m. at the memorial in Centennial Park between the marina and parking lot at the end of Seaway Road (park at the end of Seaway and walk the path toward the marina).  Immediately after we will be going to the Point Edward Ex-Serviceman's Club, 503 Michigan Ave. for food and drinks..  Arrangements entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish, may send memorial donations to St Joseph’s Hospice 475 Christina Street N., Sarnia.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com.
