Obituary of Debbie Monique DiBrita
DiBRITA, Debbie Monique (DeWulf) – Surrounded by her family, Debbie died peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Matthew DiBrita for 44 yrs. Loving mother of Joe and & wife Elizabeth and Dan & partner Mysti. Cherished grandmother of Graham. Dear sister of Ivan & his wife Debbie. Sister-in-law of Redente DiBrita & wife Susan, Bright's Grove, late Antonio DiBrita & wife Dianne, Pt. Edward, and Frank DiBrita & wife Cheryl. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, both local and in Belgium. Debbie was predeceased by her parents Joseph & Madeline DeWulf.
Debbie lived life to the fullest and made sure to focus on the things she was most passionate about. Debbie loved her family more than anything and hosted many family gatherings over the years. She loved her garden and longed for the spring to see her flowers in bloom. She loved to travel and was able to visit friends and family around the world. Debbie was passionate about health and wellbeing and enjoyed biking with friends, going to the gym and training with the Breast Buddies Dragonboat Team. She was an avid golfer for many years and ladies club champion multiple times at Greenwood Golf Club. Debbie loved animals, big and small; she cared for many family pets over the years.
She will be lovingly remembered as determined, passionate and caring. She will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation celebrating Debbie will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Wednesday, January 24th from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery at a later date.
