Obituary of Joyce Irene Bisson

BISSON (McEachen), Joyce Irene – Joyce died peacefully at Vision Nursing Home on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Robert "Bob" Bisson (2009).  Loving mother of the late Diane Bisson (2020), Gerry Bisson (Mary), and Joanne Pyette (Al).   Proud grandmother of Sherri Morrison (Jamie), Jennifer Pyette (Brian) and Leanne Pyette (Andrew). Step-grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 5. Dear sister of Allen McEachen (Hazel), and Dean McEachen (Karen). Predeceased by parents William (1993) and Irene McEachen (2010) and sister Mary Lou Silver (2000). Joyce was a former Brownie leader and enjoyed doing crafts and ceramics. She was very active in her younger years with Cursillo and Sacred Heart Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She worked as a lab tech at Polymer for 5 years before having her children. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Monday from 4-6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow and private interment will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to Diabetes Canada, 1300-522 University Ave., Toronto, M5G 2R5.
