Obituary of Jacqueline Marie Comeau

COMEAU, Jacqueline Denise (nee Sauve) - Jacqueline passed away peacefully at Afton Park Place on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the age of 87.  Beloved wife of 64 years to Armand.  Dear mother of Raymond and wife Lisa (Lantana, TX), Louise Morin and husband Jean-Guy (Sarnia) and Helene Comeau-Pellett and her late husband Doug 2016 (Port Lambton).  Loving grandmother to Serena, David (Jeff), Lizzie, Linda, Rachelle (Jason), Marc (Lisa), Nancy (Brad), Denise, Richard (Bekah), and great-grandmother to several grandchildren.  Dear sister of Aline Sauve and Colette Lajoie (Bernie) and sister-in-law of Denise Kirk (Jon) and Ron Welch.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Annie Sauve, brothers Charles-Emile, Marcel (Therese), Fernand, Andre (Artemise), Patrick (Annette), Claude, Bob (Sandy), sisters Cecile Lepage, Marie-Marthe Sauve, Paquerette Sauve, and Jeannine Smith.  Between the ages of 16 and 22, Jacqueline was a nun with The Sisters of Saint Mary of Namur in Ottawa. Once married, she was co-owner of Como Electric Co Ltd., doing business in Lambton County for many years.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed travelling, going to bingo and the casino, and playing cards with family and friends.  She was a member of the St. Thomas D’Aquin Ladies Auxiliary.   She devoted her life to her family.  She will be sadly missed but will live in our hearts forever.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas D’Aquin Church, 895 Champlain Road, Sarnia on Monday, May 15th, 2023 at 11:00 am with a lunch to follow. Then the interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, 1885 London Line, Sarnia at 2:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish, may send memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, 475 N. Christina Street, Sarnia N7T 5W3.
