Obituary of Anthony Joseph Spano

SPANO, Anthony Joseph – Tony died suddenly at Bluewater Health on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Susan Dianne (nee Cote) (Marciniszyn). Loving father of Deanna (Jeff Pelkie), Pam and Mike (Corry Salts).  Cherished grandfather of his favourite granddaughter Kira (Collin) and his favourite grandson Jarod Pelkie.  Dear brother of Natalina Zirilli (late Sebastian) and Francis Sanza (Angelo). Brother-in-law of Maurice Cote (Linda), Julie Grant (Frank), Steve Cote (Wendy), late Dave Cote (Brenda), Annette Sammon (late Jim) and Dawn Helman (Mike). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Roberto and Agata Spano and sister Angelina Leone (late Oreste). Tony was a patient, caring and selfless family man who was the first person to lend a hand to anyone needing odd projects done around the house. He was very meticulous and a perfectionist - if Tony did a job for you, you knew it was done right! He was an avid golfer who always offered helpful tips to his fellow golfers to improve their game. He thoroughly enjoyed going golfing daily and meeting up with his friends for coffee. He also enjoyed bowling for well over 45 years, most of which were spent with the same team members. Tony touched many lives and will be sadly missed by all. You will be missed.

Cremation has taken place.
