Obituary of Peggy Joyce Smith

SMITH, Peggy Joyce – Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Peggy died on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the age of 79.  Loving sister of Peter Smith & his partner Leslie Thomson, Sarnia.  Dear Aunt of Heather Smith her children Andrew & Jamie Rodgers, Dana Ruivola (Cristian) & their children Nicolas & Cesar and Kenny Smith & (Audrey).  Cherished cousin of Deborah (John) Cousineau and their children Michelle Wall (George) and Ryan (Alexandria) Cousineau & their son Hudson.  Predeceased by her parent Kenneth & Mildred (nee Jacques) Smith.

Peggy worked for 46 years as an X-ray technologist, and the majority of those years she worked for Dr. John Lynch.  She was an avid football fan, but most of all she loved spending time with family playing cards and board games.

Peggy was a devoted Catholic, a member of the Catholic Women’s League, and she was very involved in the church ministry at Our Lady of Mercy Church.

Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church following visitation on Friday at 2:00 p.m.  Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
