Obituary of Nunziata Longo
LONGO – Nancy “Nunziata” (nee Fracasso) – Surrounded by her loving family, Nancy went to join her husband and infant son on Friday, February 17, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Mario. Loving mother of Joanne (Onorio) Cicchini, Tony (Michelle) Longo and Mike (Carol) Longo and her late infant son Giovanni. Cherished grandmother of David (Vanessa) Cicchini, Christopher (Delia) Cicchini, Steven (Sarah) Cicchini, Christopher (Laurie) Longo, Kathryn (John) McAuley, John Longo, Ryan Longo, and Melissa (Cody) Hoekstra. Great-grandmother of Matteo, Marco, Isabella, Haylea (Noah), Christopher, Damian, Darien, Mikayla, John, Makayla and Landen. Dear sister -in-law of Antonia Longo & Domenico Pennacchia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and United States. Predeceased by her parents, Michele & Domenica Fracasso, brother Sante and sisters Rosina, Emilia, Angela and Maria.
Nancy leaves behind a tremendous legacy....one that embodies love of family, faith and a commitment to family, her ability to laugh with a great sense of humor, her generosity and her work ethics. She loved spending time in her flower and vegetable garden. She loved to entertain and have her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends around the house. Cooking and creating outstanding multi-course Italian meals was another one of her passions. She loved to knit and made dozens of pairs of slippers for family and friends, as well as an Afghan for each of her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00-8.00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Tuesday, February 28 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Mausoleum.
