Obituary of Andre Bernard Courchesne
COURCHESNE, Andre – Peacefully at home with his family by his side, Andy Courchesne, died on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Jacqueline for 24 years. Loving father of Andre Jr., Windsor, Monique Wagner (Brian), Sarnia, Nicole Courchesne (Borden), Sarnia. Dear step-father of Lisa Fex (Don), Oakland, Angie Lai, Alberta, Claudette Cary, Sarnia and Richard Thibodeau, Sarnia. Cherished grandfather of Charles (Becky), Chelsea, Marcus, Katie and Brooke. Great-grandfather of Michael and Owen. Brother-in-law of George Langlois. Predeceased by his parents Clara & Arthur Courchesne and his siblings; Bob Courchesne, Paul Courchesne (Charlotte), Fernand Courchesne, Reina Lilko (Joe) and Cecile Langlois and Harvey Courchesne and his first wife Noreen and step-son Denis Thibodeau and his grandson Deni.
Andy was a process operator with Sarnia Fiberglas until retirement in 1990. He worked for many years at Shoppers Drug Mart as a valuable employee. Many will remember his smiling face when he delivered their prescriptions. Andy was a loving husband and father and devout catholic, who always was there for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed but always remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Wednesday, February 22nd at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
