Mike passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and light of life for Suzzanne (nee Arnold) for 23 yrs. Loving father of Melissa, Sarah and Eric (Susana). Proud papa of Vivianna, Gabriel and soon to arrive William. Treasured son of Marilyn & the late Carl Madery (1997). Brother of the late Andrew (2013) and the late Mary Kaye Madery (2022). Cherished brother-in-law to David (Linda) Arnold, nieces Amanda & Sarah & nephew Chris and to sister-in-law Karen (Nick) Young. Special cousin to many.
Mike retired from Imperial Oil 4 years ago after working for 34 years as a process operator. He loved the outdoors, boating, sailing, car rides, walking the trails, fishing, and traveling. He loved his family most of all.
Mike quietly and bravely battled cancer over the past few months. We are heartbroken at his loss. He will live forever in the hearts of all those who loved him. May he rest peacefully.
The family thanks the special care nurses in Oncology and palliative care at Blue Water Health and especially Dr. Crombeen and Dr. Lebert for all their kindness and care.
Honouring Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
