Obituary of Vincenzo Bucci

BUCCI, Vincenzo – Peacefully with his family by his side, Vincenzo Bucci died at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care on Saturday, September 17, 2022.  Beloved husband of Linda (nee Giacchetta) for 66 yrs.  Loving father of the late Fausto Bucci, Maurizio Bucci & his wife Sandy and Fiordisa Roberts (Bill) and the late Donald Roberts.  Cherished nonno of Nick (Lindsay) Bucci, Domenic (Paige) Bucci, Laura Roberts (Ahmed), Cory Roberts, Marco (Deanna) Bucci. Stefano (Meghan) Bucci and Alyssa Bucci.  Bisnonno of Lincoln, Vivienne and Beau.  Dear brother of Franco Bucci, Argentina and Maria Giacchetta, Brazil. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Pasquale & Antonia Bucci, his brothers John, Thomas, Enrico, Guiseppe, Michele and his sister Angela.

Vincenzo came to Canada in 1969.  He was a labourer with local 1089 for over 30 yrs. Vincenzo was a loving, vivacious, kind soul.  Spending time with his family gave him great pleasure.  You could always find him working in his gardens and tending to his grape vines.  He always welcomed friends and family to his home to enjoy his homemade wine.  He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given by the doctors and nurses at Bluewater Health, ICU and Palliative Care. 

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday, September 22^nd at 10 a.m.  Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of your choice.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
