Obituary of Domenico Erminio Guido Benacquista

BENACQUISTA, Domenico – Domenico died peacefully with his loving family by his side at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Elena (Muscedere). Loving and devoted father of Silvana Filia and Maria DiMurro, and dear father-in-law of Andrea Filia. Much loved and cherished grandfather of the late Daniela Filia, Argentino and Dora Filia, David and Elisa Bararuk, Elena Filia and Nick Cambiotti, the late Angela DiMurro, Sabrina DiMurro and Brock Allen, Davide DiMurro and Paolo DiMurro. He will be forever missed and never forgotten by his great-grandchildren Evangeline Filia, Julian Filia, Aria Bararuk and Ethan Bararuk. Dear brother of Palmina Pennacchia (late Loretto). Brother-in-law of Archangela Giuseppa Benacquista. Predeceased by parents Agostino and Rosina Benacquista, brothers Giuseppe and Antonio Benacquista (Rosetta), and nephew Mario Pennacchia. Domenico’s great passion and joy was his family. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Wednesday from 2-5 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10 a.m.  Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.  Messages of condolence and memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
