Obituary of Ronald Brian Winkler

WINKLER, Ronald Brian – Ron passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Lori Bousfield. Dear father of Taylor Winkler (Danielle DeGraaf), step-father of Ryan Avey (Casidy Guzar) and Kristin Avey. Proud papa of Aiden Avey-Toutant. Brother of Diane Moore (Brad), Rick Winkler (Sandy) and Lloyd Winkler (Bernie). Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Herbert & Edith Winkler. Ron was born in Exeter and spent the majority of his adult life in Brantford and Woodstock before settling in Sarnia. He worked many years at the Oxford Regional Health Centre in Woodstock. Upon its closure, Ron became a real estate agent working in Woodstock. For 21 years thereafter, Ron owned and operated Credit Bureau Collection Services of Southwestern Ontario in Sarnia. He was an avid boater, traveller and loved playing the guitar with his son and friends. He also cherished his time fishing with his son and grandson. Ron will be dearly missed by his family and many close friends. The family would like to thank all the dedicated healthcare staff at Bluewater Health, Bayshore Home Health and Care Partners for the compassionate care given to Ron. Cremation has taken place.
