Obituary of Ronald Burton

Burton, Ronald Arthur – Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Ronald Burton died on April 2, 2022, at the age of 87.  Loving father of Wesley Burton & his wife Deb, Callander, ON.  Cherished grandfather of Evan (Candice) & Ryan.  Sadly missed by his dear friend Jules Kerrigan. Dear brother of John Burton (Ruth), Douglas Burton, Russell Burton (Elinore), Evelyn Cosby, Dorothy Burch, Mary Campbell and Joyce O’Callaghan (Frank).  Also survived by Wesley’s mother Joy Godfrey and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Edward & Blanche Burton and brothers Horace & Raymond Burton.

Ronald was an Electrical Engineer with Dow Chemical for many years, retiring in 1993.  He loved sports and participated in playing pool, darts, and bowling.  Ronald was an avid golfer and very proud of his golf odyssey, travelling across Canada and the US playing as many courses as he could.  As an outdoorsman, Ronald loved to fish, hunt, and shoot trap. 

In honouring Ronald’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.  A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 3 – 5 pm at BrownStones Sports Lounge, 1000 Finch Dr., Sarnia.
