Obituary of Betty Ann Baranek
BARANEK (GREGA), Betty Ann – It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Betty at Bluewater Health, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Walter. Dear mother of Dan Baranek (Wendy), the late Dave Baranek, Mike Baranek (Edie), Darlene Martin (Jim) and Debbie Baranek. Loving grandmother of Jake (Rose), Vicki, Mark (Amanda), Jackie, Jeff, Sandra (Kris), Andrew (Meagan), Laura (Josh), Ellen (Rob), and Emma. Great-grandmother of Brady, Madison, Sydney, Blake, Kaylee, Tyler, Colby, Marcy, James, Matthew and Billie. Aunt of Betty Kuchta (Stephen) and Alex Kuchta (Marie). Predeceased by parents Valent and Mary Grega and sister Mary Kuchta. Betty was a very social and active person. Her faith was very strong and she was a life long member of St. Edward the Confessor/Our Lady of Mercy parishes. Betty will be missed by all her friends and family. Her family would like to thank the caring staff of Vision Rest Home who treated her like family during her 4 year stay there. Due to the restrictions of Covid19 a private funeral service will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Please note masks/face coverings are mandatory. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, 420 N.
