My condolences to Ruth, Meagan, Michelle and families.
I was truly blessed to have Don as a buddy for over 50 years. One of the nicest guys ever and what a laugh he had. He was a great friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be truly missed. Thank you so much for the memories!
Happy Trails Bud,

When reflecting on some of the happiest moments in my life or when reminiscing about my times spent with Don, both are synonymous. I was fortunate enough to meet Don during our very early teenage years. Together we sampled our first alcohol, spent weekends at his parents’ cottage in Ipperwash, partied to the extreme and had the time of our lives. Moving to Toronto in 1974 made me realize how special his ongoing friendship was to me. Don was a friend you could always rely on and brightened the lives of all those who knew him.
Despite knowing it’s coming and there is time to say goodbye, loss is never easy. May the memories we all made with Don live forever and help find peace.
My family and I are so sorry for your loss Ruth and send you and your family love, light and wishes for brighter days.

Dear Ruth, Michelle & Meagan,
We are very sorry for the loss of Uncle Don. I know he was suffering but Don was in good spirits when I spoke to him last week. We reminisced on a few things from my childhood which brought on some pleasant memories and smiles.
Thinking of you during this difficult time,

Ruth, Meagan, Michelle and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a great guy and I will always remember how he helped me out as a young Power Engineer Graduate to get me a "shot" at Nova Chemicals as a co-op student. Several years later he also gave me that all important phone call out of the blue on some openings within Nova. Twenty-Five years later I'm still here although having moved into Emergency Response from Utilities where I worked with Don for a number of years. Don was quite a character and I know he will be missed by all the "old school" guys that are still left at Nova, he had a very distinct laugh and loved to get everyone going in the control room, we still talked about some the "shenanigans" he pulled at work. All in good fun.
I hope you find peace with your loss. God Bless.

Donald was one of the best cousins I could have.
He was kind, sensitive, and generous . He had a great sense of humour. His laugh was unique and it made you laugh. He cared about people and wanted to do what was right always.
As children we played at the family cottage on Ipperwash beach and as adults we still connected as the years flew by so fast. Don was there for family and friends in good times and in sad times. He was so considerate.
And to say farewell to him is very difficult. He was brave throughout his illness and brave to know his own farewell.
A quote from Amanda Gorman:
“ All we have is time, is now,
Time takes us on.
How we are moved says everything
About what we are to each other
& what are we to each other
If not everything.”
Love you Donald
❤️ Cousin Elaine
