Obituary of Louis Gerard Cheverie
CHEVERIE, Louis Gerard - Louie passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Joseph Hospice, Sarnia on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the age of 61. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of Ellen Jane (Bushey) and Louis A. Cheverie. Predeceased by his parents and siblings Catherine, Francis, Mary (Ossie), Darlene (Danny) and sister-in-law Kelly. Louie leaves behind his dear siblings Karen Cheverie of Sarnia, David Cheverie of Guelph, Sheila Cheverie (Dave Sine) of Kitchener, Margaret (Rob Campbell) of Guelph, Brenda (Tim McLaughlin) of Mooretown, Beverly Cheverie of Dartmouth, NS and Christine Cheverie of Ayr. Louie worked for UPCW of Guelph for many years. His pastimes were playing his guitar/harmonica, listening to his music collection and writing songs. He was also an avid hockey fan enjoying Saturday night games. He enjoyed his many phone calls from his siblings with updates of all his nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. Louie appreciated his neighbours on Willowdale and would like to thank Debbie, Ron and Lorraine who helped in many ways and friend Barry Chambers from CMHA. Special thanks to all the many PSWs, nurses and staff at St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Friday, December 10 from 2-4 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N. (Hwy 7), Breslau on Sunday, December 12 from 2-4 p.m. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory and maximum visitors at one time and social distancing will be strictly enforced.
