Obituary of Orlo James Cracknell

CRACKNELL, Orlo James – Orlo passed away suddenly at Bluewater Health on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Corrie (Tamming) for 38 years. Dear father of James Cracknell, London and Justin Cracknell, Sarnia. Brother of Evelyn Durnin (Merv), Exeter and Shirley Hardy (Bill), Sarnia. Brother-in-law of Grant McKenzie and Joyce Cracknell. Predeceased by parents James & Phyllis Cracknell, sister Cheryl McKenzie and brother Dale Cracknell.

Orlo retired from Imperial Oil in 2013 after 37 years of service. He loved fishing and looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Pelee Island with his buddies. After his retirement he enjoyed his summers at the trailer in Bayfield with Corrie and all his close friends on Easy St who he thought of as family. He was always a happy-go-lucky person and loved to make people laugh. Orlo loved Corrie and his boys with all his heart.

Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N. on Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory and maximum visitors at one time and social distancing will be strictly enforced.  Due to current COVID restrictions a private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 28 at 11 a.m. and will be livestreamed.
