Obituary of Pierrette Rollande Saucier

SAUCIER (Rochefort), Pierrette – It is with heavy and saddened hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Pierrette Saucier at Trillium Villa on Monday, September 13, 2021 at the age of 91. She is survived by her devoted children, Sue Lamontagne (Dan), Denis Dufour (Cathy), Muriel Armstrong (Mark), Lise Scarrow (Gar) and Claude Dufour. Also survived by her brother Maurice Rochefort, sister Jackie Innes, sisters-in-law Edith Houle and Lita Francoeur and stepdaughter Pierrette Hubbard. Grieved by her loving grandchildren Daniel Lamontagne (Sarah), Justin Lamontagne (Ali), Michael and Colette Dufour, Jennifer Armstrong (Dwayne), Jessica Armstrong (Marcy), Kelly Ainsworth (Steve), Christopher Paterson (Alina), Tim Paterson, Cameron Dufour, Erin Dufour (Justin), Adam Lapointe (Kristi) and Craig Lapointe. Dearly missed by her cherished great-grandchildren, Collette and Holland Lamontagne, Johnathan and Michael Lamontagne, Baillie Ferris, Noah Ferris, Elijah Armstrong, Emma Ainsworth, Samuel Ainsworth, Madison Paterson, Natalie Lapointe, Cody Lapointe, Arianna and Isabelle Paterson and great-great-grandson Jaxon Armstrong. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by the love of her life Clement Saucier, brothers Marcel, Lucien and Gilles Rochefort, sisters Cecile Grenier and Jeanette Tremblay, daughter-in-law Angela Dufour and stepdaughter Micheline Lawson. In her younger years she played baseball and enjoyed cooking and baking. Mom and Clem enjoyed bowling, playing cards with their friends and she spent many hours crocheting hats and mitts for Hats For Kids at Christmastime. In the nursing home she loved to do crafts, enjoyed playing bingo, cards and watching Blue Jays baseball. She loved music and her best friend her iPad. A huge heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Sunrise Wing and all the staff at Trillium Villa whose compassion and care were truly unrivaled in time of need.   Cremation has taken place and due to the restrictions of Covid19 a private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory for all in attendance.
