Obituary of Ila Mae Baker

BAKER, Ila - At North Lambton Lodge, Forest on May 13th, age 95, with her family beside her. lla was predeceased by her husband Charles (Bill) Baker in 1969. Dear mother of Gary Baker, Corunna, Karen Shortt (Don) of Nanaimo, B.C., and Maureen Wilkins (Mike) of Lambton Shores. Beloved Grandma of Sera, Jason, Lauren and Claire. Much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ila was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and the CWL for over 71 years. She volunteered for many years at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Meals on Wheels. The family wishes to thank the staff of Pine Lane at NLL for their care of Ila over the past 5 years.  Due to the restrictions of Covid19 a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church with interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory for all in attendance. The family hope to welcome friends and family to a Celebration of Ila’s life at a later date.
