Obituary of Mary Anne Swift

SWIFT, Mary Anne - Peacefully at home, Mary Anne Swift (nee Prendergast) died on May 1, 2021 at the age of 68. Cherished wife, best friend, and high school sweetheart to Joe for over 50 years. Loving mother of the late Heather (2004), Laura, and Kelly Carson (Jamie). Adored Grandma of Patrick and David.  Dear sister of Kathy Magee and her husband Mark, and Gerry Prendergast and his wife Monique. Proud aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Predeceased by her parents, Frank Prendergast & Katherine Prendergast-Grasdahl, in-laws Joseph & Anne Swift, and nephew Shawn Prendergast.

Mary Anne’s love of music began with piano then the CCH Band and continued throughout her life.  She was an avid Notre Dame fan and was often overheard saying “Being Grandma is the best job ever”.

Visitation, Mass and burial will be held privately. Post COVID-19, to fulfill her last wish, we will celebrate Mary Anne’s life with a party, some wine, and lots of laughter.
