Obituary of Walter Poltorak

POLTORAK, Wojciech “Walter” – Peacefully with his wife by his side, Walter Poltorak died at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 69.  Beloved husband of Ana.  Loving father of Radek Poltorak & his wife Iwona, Sarnia and Magda Poltorak, Germany.  Cherished grandfather of Claudia, Mike & Gabriel.  Dear son of Elzbieta Poltorak & the late Franciszek, Poland.  Brother of Renek Poltorak & his wife Wieslawa, Poland. Also survived by his nieces Marta & Eliza Poltorak and sisters-in-law Rochel Cabrillas & her husband Ryan and their son Nayr and Divina & her husband Mike and their children Myka and Libby. 

Walter was the owner of Bluewater Auto for 20 years.  He liked to cultivate house plants and work in his garden.  His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughter Claudia, especially making chicken soup for her. He considered himself a wine connoisseur. 

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Those who wish to attend must sign up by copying this link in your internet browser: https://signup.com/go/RTtyvJT  or call the funeral home at 519-344-3131.  Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Peace Church on Tuesday.
