Obituary of Marielle Corinne Parsons

PARSONS, Marielle (nee Simard) – Peacefully at Sumac Lodge, Marielle died on March 18, 2021 at the age of 84.  Beloved wife of the late William Parsons (1997).  Loving mother of Gordon Adams (Karen), Rockwood, ON, Joanne Dunn (Bruce Kennedy), Corunna and Roger Adams (Linda), Corunna. Cherished grandmother of Jason Adams, Jacob Adams, Alyssia Dunn, Rachel Dunn, Eric & Alex Kennedy and Ethan Adams.  Proud great-grandmother of Violet, Vanna and Ella Ray.  Dear sister of Lorraine Parker (Ernie), Claudette Riopelle and Leo Simard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ferdinand & Alda Simard, brothers Maurice (Gerry) & Rocky and her sister Yvette.

Marielle worked for many years as a custodian at Northern high school before retiring in 1999. After that she spent the next 20 years travelling to many places. Spending winters in Florida, trips to Scotland with John and Ireland with Jim.  She led a fulfilling life. The last two years she called Sumac Lodge her home. Thanks to the staff at Sumac for taking good care of her.
