Obituary of Thomas James Callan

CALLAN, Thomas James – Peacefully with his wife by his side, Thomas Callan died at home on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the age of 57.  Beloved husband of Kim.  Loving father of Kyle & his partner Madeleine, and his beloved granddaughter Emerie, Burlington.  Dear son of Joan & the late Jim Callan, Burlington. Cherished brother of Maureen Callan, Burlington and Michael Callan & his wife Michelyne, Burk’s Falls.  Also survivied by his in-laws Linda & Ron Cleary and Gord Neely Sr & Judy, Sarnia.  Brother-in-law of Greg (Terri) Neely, Corunna and Gord (Tara) Neely Jr. Sarnia.  Lovingly remembered by his Uncle James Stewart, Burlington, his nieces and nephews; Liam, Rebecca, Madeline, Ava, Layton and his tik tok buddy Danika.  Thomas will be forever be loved and missed by his lifelong friend Peter Asling, Ipperwash.

 

Tom was an avid golfer. He enjoyed a good game of golf no matter what course he played on.  In his youth, Tom excelled in many sports especially baseball. He was never far from his best buddy Fred.  Tom’s skills as a carpenter are left behind in the many projects he masterfully completed around Sarnia.  He was a kind and generous friend to those he worked with, mentored and played with.

 

A special thank you to Liam and Lisa Carmody, Blain Brazeau, Jamie Passingham, Larry Panzini and Aaron Campbell for being a huge part of Tom’s life till the end.  Thank you to Dr. Maddison,  Dr. Crombeen, Dr. Lebert and their staff for the care and compassion they showed Tom.  Also thank you to Blaine McLellan, Tom’s home nurse for his kindness.

 

Due to current COVID restrictions cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are entrusted to the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre Ltd.
