Obituary of Clayton Mootrey
MOOTREY, Robert Clayton ‘Clay” – With his family by his side, Clay Mootrey died at London Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Lorrie for 46 yrs. Loving father of Clayton (Jodi) and Matt (Nicole) and the late Jae Garrett. Cherished pappa of Makayla, Breanna, Ryder, Gaige, Liam and Summer. Dear brother of Queen McDowell, Lillian (Jack) Hall and Phyllis Drover. Brother-in-law of David Belrose and Janey Sutherland. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hedley & Violet, in-laws Brit & Isabel Belrose, siblings; Mae Hicks, Elsie Hobday, Maude Downey, Fred, Chesley, David and Reg.
Clay was a bus driver with Sarnia Transit for many years. He loved his family and helping his community. Clay had a passion for music. He loved to sing and play the drums in his band Country Side. Clay will be missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
