Obituary of William Ernest White

WHITE, William “Bill” Ernest – At home with the care and love of his family by his side, Bill died on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 91.  Beloved husband of Margaret for over 70 years.  Loving father of John (Karen), London, Sarah White (Erik Mortensen), Sarnia, Elizabeth Rice (Frank), Sarnia, Mary Boyd (Greg), Belle River, Margaret McCormick (James), Sarnia and David White (Helen), Sarnia.  Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Jaclyn, Aimee (Brian), Colleen (Steve), Paul (Alisha), Rachel (Jason), Angela (Mike), Brandi, Samantha (Chris), Bill (Jodi), Jennifer & Denise.  Known as GREAT to Callum, Will, Dylan, Alex, Frank, Thomas, Avalon, Russell, MaryJane, Faye, Boyd,  Finn, Xavier, Roman, Gracie, Joey, Jimmy and Maggie.  Dear brother-in-law of Kathleen Airlie, Ireland. Will be remembered by Erik's children, Ryan (Selena), Kim (Jason), Kyle and grandchildren Kayleigh & Millie. Predeceased by his parents William & Lillian White, grandson Kyle Ferguson and his brothers Charles, Frank, Harold, Albert & Jack and sister Madeline. 

 

Bill worked for 40 years with Bell Canada & Bell International.  He was a long time member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 62 and the Pt. Edward Ex Servicemens Club Bill and Margaret wintered in Panama City Beach for 30 years.  Spending family time at the cottage gave him great pleasure.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing, playing pool and cards.  The family is thankful for all the support and care Bill received from his Nurse Practitioner Amy, Dr. Lilly, nurse Sheila from VON, and all the remarkable PSW workers from Care Partners. Bill was cared for by his son-in-law Erik in ways we will forever be grateful for.
