Corinne Coull

Obituary of Corinne Coull

COULL, Corinne – Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Corinne “Dolly” (nee Savoie) Coull died at Bluewater Health on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the age of 76.  Beloved wife of David Coull for 53  years.  Loving mother of Sandra Adair (late Stephen), Cheryl Ployart (Taryn), Wanda Coull de Bont (Ludie). Cherished grandmother of Riley Adair, Justin de Bont, Ethan Ployart and Jacob Ployart. Dear sister of Kevin Savoie (Melissa). Predeceased by her mother, father, and many brothers and sisters.

Corinne had a love of cardinals, owls and roosters. Her love for these animals with wings and their freedom to fly, she is most certainly flying alongside them now. She now has her wings; she was our hero and now our angel. Over the years Corinne has overcome and beat so many odds with her health that she became a focal point of strength in our family.  She has had more than nine lives and we lovingly referred to her as “The Terminator”, as there wasn’t anything she could not overcome, until now. Even at the end, she hung on for 3 days in palliative, no doubt afraid to leave her family behind.  She sacrificed her nursing career to stay at home and dedicate her life to raising her three daughters. The proudest moments in her life was the birth of her four beloved grandsons. They became the most important part of her life, and we graciously stepped aside and welcomed her unconditional love for them. She was their nana and they all loved her dearly.  To her closest friends, “Coreen” will be sadly missed.  She had an uncanny talent for talking for hours with them, always there to listen and give advice as needed. She was the rock for so many and will leave a huge hole in many hearts.

Corinne also had a large family in New Brunswick.  She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom all knew her as “Dolly”; she loved them so much and had a special place in her heart for “down home”. In her last few days in the hospital, her mind took her to that place, down home to Escuminac where all her loved ones are. Family both extended and immediate were mom’s life and her heart.

In keeping with Corinne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will take place. Arrangements entrusted to The McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia.  As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to a charity of their choice.  Messages of condolence & memories may be left at www.mckenzieblundy.com
