Obituary of Barb Matheson

MATHESON, Barbara ‘Barb’ Elaine – Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Barb Matheson passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the young age of 92.  Beloved wife of the late Murdoch ‘Matt’ Matheson (May 5, 2008).  Loving mother of David Matheson (Jane) of Sarnia ON, Brian Matheson (Mona) of St. Albert AB, Lynda Moir (Jim) of Duncan BC, Paul Matheson (Lisa) of Grand Forks BC, Lorne Matheson (Sandra) of Sherwood Park AB, Craig Matheson (Joely) of Calgary AB, Kevin Matheson (Lee Anne) of Orillia ON. Cherished grandmother of Tara Fyrsta (Mike), Neil Matheson (Angela), Tara Doering, Shelley Field (Nicholas), Melanie Moir (Giorgio), Shane Matheson (Abbie), Heather Traxler (Blair), Cory Matheson (Janaya), Daniel Matheson (Emma), Keira, Kaitlyn & Tyler Matheson and Justin Matheson (Kevin). Extremely proud great-grandmother of Carrera & Blake, Jacob, Atticus, Leonardo, Victoria, Archer, Jack, Hudson, Hunter and Ambria.  Dear sister of Audrey Royston and David Jenkins (deceased).              

Mom walked with our LORD for all her life & was a strong supporter of Patterson Memorial Church, Sarnia. She thoroughly enjoyed playing cards & was an avid bridge player.

Goodbye mom . . . If I had known the last time I saw you, was the last time I would see you, I would have said I love you louder, hugged you tighter, and stayed much longer. We will always love you mom . . . and will always miss you. Hugs from us all for Dad!

In keeping with Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
