Mario immigrated to Canada with his family in 1970 to seek better opportunities. He worked as a construction worker and cement finisher. He was a proud member of the Labour Union Local 1089 and for many years, was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and Dante Club. Mario loved to bowl, dance, watch soccer and was also a long devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. In January 1993, Mario was in a work related accident which left him paralyzed, altering his life. Despite this unfortunate event, Mario continued to live his life to the fullest. He continued to demonstrate great strength, wisdom and love for his family. He was kind and gentle, compassionate, loving and a pillar of strength. He had a will to live despite the many hurdles and challenges life threw his way. He always had the biggest smile regardless of his challenges and whenever asked how he was doing, he always responded by saying “don’t worry, I’m ok”. He was truly a hero in every sense of the word - courageous, strong, a kind soul and full of love for his wife, children and grandchildren. Although he will be deeply missed, he will always be in our hearts. Rest In Peace. We love you.   We want to thank all the doctors and nurses at Bluewater Health for the care and compassion they showed through the many years. We are forever thankful to them.
