Obituary of Rita Marie Sauve

SAUVE, Rita – Sauve, Rita - Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Rita Marie Sauve, known to many as Memere, passed away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Maurice (2002). Loving mother of Robert (Carol), Joanne Desjardins (Henri) and Brad (Nancy). Cherished Memere of Heather Houlihan (Shawn), Angela Sauve, Brent Sauve (Meghan), Steve Desjardins, Kevin Desjardins (Christine), Jessica Sauve, Danielle Sauve and Nicole Sauve. Memere will also be missed by her great grandchildren Genevieve Marie, Tyler, Kate, Dahlia and Victor. Dear sister of Margo, Gabrielle, Rochon, Alvarez, Yvon, Huber and Rock.

Rita’s smile and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her. Her love for her family was shown through her cooking. Memere loved to host large family dinners, especially during the holidays. The memories that happened around the dining table will be ones to be cherished forever. All who knew Rita also know what pride she took in her appearance, which mirrored her inner beauty.  Memere you will be forever in our hearts.

Due to current COVID 19 restrictions a private, invitation only visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church.  Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
