Obituary of Fernando Barbosa

BARBOSA, Fernando – Best known to friends and family as Fred, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the age of 61 years. Fred will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 39 years, Jude (m.Uher) and his children: Amanda Barbosa, Toronto, Adrienne (Robert) Sloan, Wallaceburg, and Amber (Rob Thibert) Barbosa, Tilbury. Adoring Papa of Gauge, Iris, Celine, and Jade Sloan; along with Carlito Barbosa, Ryland, and Ryker Thibert. Fred will also be fondly remembered by his sister, Guimer (Pete) Fowler, London, the late Starla McIntyre, and by brother-in-law, Bill McIntyre. Predeceased by parents Fernando & Alexandrina Barbosa. Fred is best remembered for his love of fish, whether it was fishing with his grandchildren or his many aquariums over the years. He had a strong passion for technology especially when it came to computers; he enjoyed repairing computers and was often seen tinkering with software. He will be missed by his dog Dolly who he frequently took for car rides to Tim Horton’s, which made him laugh with her daily antics. Fred was regularly seen taking pride in his gardens while planting petunias and will be honoured by tree planting with petunias in his backyard. A celebration of life will be held once the restrictions of Covid19 are lifted.
