Obituary of Kyle James Alexander Chafe
KYLE JAMES ALEXANDER CHAFE
It is with broken hearts the family announces the sudden but peaceful passing of Kyle James Alexander Chafe on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the age of 31. He was the cherished and loving son of Rob and Dawn (Armitage) Chafe and Ronnie Fraser (Shannon). Best friend and worst influence to his much loved sister Amanda Chafe. A brother to both Matty and Garrett. Grandson of Yvonne Chafe (Peter Blues) and JoAnn Armitage. He is now in the arms of his cherished role models Marjorie and Charlie Hunter. Adored and strongly loved nephew of Lea Ann McQueen (Scott), Michael Chafe (Anna), Lisa Chafe (Mark), Cathy Gorman (Barry), Kimmie Beauchamp (Mike), Donnie Fraser and Kelly Fraser. Treasured and beloved cousin of Kirstie, Sarah, Emily, Hannah, Taylor, Connor (Erin), Scott and Ryan. Survived by several great aunts, uncles, cousins and his numerous friends. Predeceased by his grandparents Marjorie & Charlie Hunter, Ronald Chafe (Jeannie Stevens), Jack Armitage, Donald Fraser and Lois O’Connor. Kyle was a great man of style and always lived life to the fullest. He had a personality like none other, he was witty, hilarious and always on point. He was always up for an adventure and loved to travel the world. He had a great love for sea turtles and one of his fondest memories was a trip to a sea turtle sanctuary in Huatulco, Mexico with Dawn, Rob and Amanda. Kyle was very special to his parents Dawn and Rob. They had a very strong bond and always made sure Kyle was so very loved and fully supported in any of his life passions. He had been extremely excited about an upcoming trip to Thailand where he planned to pursue his lifelong dream of saving sea turtles. It is unfortunate his trip was postponed due to Covid 19. Kyle was very proud of the accomplishments he achieved in Judo and held the medals he won very dear to his heart. We are going to miss his beautiful white smile, his laugh and his good vibes. Kyle left many broken hearts behind. Hearts that will always hold him close and cherish his memory. He had champagne taste on a beer budget, always had the best of everything and would settle for nothing less. His family and friends would remind him that he was not royalty and he would quickly remind them that he was, and should be treated like the Queen. Kyle will be forever our Queen in the sky. Due to circumstances of Covid 19 we are unable to have the elaborate funeral Kyle deserved and would have thought he’d be entitled to with streets shut down as he was carried to his final resting place in a horse and carriage. A “Kyle Style” celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced. Kyle will be laid to rest with his grandparents Marjorie and Charlie at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in keeping with Kyle's passions we ask that donations be made to the Canadian Sea Turtle Network or TFT/Talk for Tamara c/o Sarnia Community Foundation, 110-560 Exmouth St, Sarnia, ON N7T 5P5.
