ROCCA, Pompilio Michele – Peacefully, at Afton Park Place Pompilio Rocca died on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Antonia Maria Rocca (2013). Loving father of late Enzo (2006) & his wife Donna, Lion’s Head, Fernando & his wife Catherine, Sarnia and Dino & his wife Joan, Sudbury. Proud Nonno of Dr. Nicole Rocca-Lucas (Jon), Meaghan Harder (Grant), Michael Rocca (Kassie), Caitlin Rocca, Courtney McQueen (Brent), Kristin Rocca and Patrick Rocca (Roxie). Bisnonno of Tucker Rocca, Keaton & Brooks Harder, Sam McQueen and Mackai Lucas. Dear brother-in-law of Letizia Guerra (late Pio) and Colomba Ferrera (late Domenic). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Felice & Nicolina Rocca, brothers Pietro & his wife Maria Rocca and Domenico Rocca & his wife Onoria, in-laws Donata & Annibale D'Andrea and brother-in-law Rocco & his wife Maria D'Andrea, Dora & Agostino Maola. Pompilio immigrated to Canada with his wife and young son Enzo in 1953. He worked as a labourer with the local 1089 until he retired. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Dante Club and Pensioners Club. Pompilio was a long time member of St. Peter’s Church. He was also a member of the Madonna de la Rosario. From 1975 to 1985 Pompilio and Antonia owned Roma’s pizza. He loved to spend time in his garden. His passion was his family and he always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and was a very proud Bisnonno. The family would like to thank the staff at Afton Park Place, Mayfair Wing. Due to the current COVID19 guidelines, there will be no public visitation or service. Private arrangements are entrusted to the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia. Entombment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
