Obituary of Pauline Marie Bourassa
BOURASSA, Pauline Marie (nee Pinsonneault)– Peacefully at Bluewater Health, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Pauline Bourassa died at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Marcel for 68 years. Loving mother of Claude (Carolle), Cochrane, Jean Marc (Lorraine), Sarnia, Lise (Miguel) De Araujo, Belleville, and Richard (France), Ottawa. Proud grandmother of Daniel De Araujo, Rachelle Tonello, Natalie, Justin, Chantal and Michelle Bourassa and several great grand-children.
Dear sister of Vincent (late Christine) Pinsonneault, Chatham, Rolande (late Polydore) Chauvin, Windsor, Carmel (Bob) Chauvin, Belle River, Roberte (late Camille) Thomas, Orleans, and Anne (Jack) Sturch, Welland. Predeceased by her daughter Michelle (1969), parents Bertha and Wilfrid, brothers Pierre Louis, Roger, and Gerard Pinsonneault and sister Marguerite Gagnier.
Pauline was the first bilingual elementary school teacher in Bluewater. She joined St. Thomas Aquinas staff and taught for 10 years before leaving to raise her children. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church parish since 1946, as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Club La Gaieté and Club Jolliet.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, 420 East St. N,.
