Obituary of Bernardino Manuel Da Cunha

DaCUNHA, Bernardino Manuel – Suddenly at home, Bernardino DaCunha died on February 5, 2020 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Leontina ‘Tina” DaCunha (nee Melo). Father of Manuel DaCunha (Patricia). Grandfather of Jessica & Rachel DaCunha. Dear step-son of Maria Corraer and step-brother of Lourda Dias in Portugal. Loving brother of Alechadrina Mendoco (Joe) and brother-in-law of Belmira DeMelo. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Manuel & Alechadrina DaCunha and his sister Fatima Mendonca. Bernardino was a member of the Laborers Union, Local 1089 for over 30 years and a member of the Portuguese Club. He loved to fish and travel to Portugal with his wife. You could always find Bernardino working in his garden, which gave him great pleasure. There will be no funeral home visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Benedict Church, Sarnia. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum.
