Obituary of Anton Erker

ERKER, Anton “Tony” – Peacefully with his family by his side, Tony Erker died at Bluewater Health on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Stephanie (2018) for 68 years. Loving father of Anthony Erker, Windsor, Ray Erker (Janice), North Bay and Charlotte Graham (Terry), Vancouver, B.C. Loving grandfather of Leah Oldfield (Dan), Shelby Roehrig and Linda Erker. Dear brother of Simona Sader, Winnipeg. Also survived by his nieces and nephews; Liz Cie, Margaret Sader, Eddie Sader, Teddy Sader and Carl Sader. Predeceased by his parents Alois and Ann and his brothers Alois, Stan and Emile. Tony worked as a mechanic for Parklane Motors for over 60 years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Dutch/Belgium Club. Tony and Stephanie loved to square dance and were members of “The Swinging 8’s” dance group for over 22 years. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all those who lives he touched. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, January 22nd at 11a.m. Reception to follow.
