DAAMEN, Harry – Peacefully surrounded by his family, Harry passed away at Bluewater Health Palliative Care on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Ruth (Engleson). Dear father of Cheryl Talbot (Jeffrey), Sarnia and Karen Moysey (Kevin), Sarnia. Loving grandfather of Renee (Kenny), Tyler, Christopher and Kyle (Haley). Great-grandfather of Alexis and Luke. Brother of Pete Daamen (late Rita), Sister Corrie, C.S.J, John Daamen (Gayle), Henry Daamen (Michelle), Chris Boekema (Tony), Dorothy Houston (Tom), Ann Johnston (Lorne) and Tom Daamen (Claudette). Favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter Jean Daamen, parents John & Theodora Daamen and brothers Bill Daamen, Albert Daamen (Pat) and Joe Daamen (Joanne). Harry was a long standing member of Sacred Heart Church. He was a family man and was guided by his great faith. For many years, Harry was the caretaker at Sacred Heart. Visitation at McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 N. Christina St. Sarnia on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
