Obituary of Lawrence Raymond Cassin

CASSIN, Lawrence “Larry” – With his family by his side at Bluewater Health, Larry Cassin died on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Jeffrey Cassin & his wife Ivonne, Belgium and Dr. Stephanie Cassin & her partner Devon Grant, Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Diego & Chantal Cassin and Anaiya Grant. Dear brother of James Cassin, Dr. Stanley (Barbara) Cassin, Brian (Mary Jane) Cassin, William (Donna) Cassin and Suzanne (Richard) Rysak. Brother-in-law of Doreen Cassin, Florence Cassin and Ann (Harry) Donkers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Raymond & Mary Cassin and siblings; Herman (Red) Cassin, Roy Cassin and Francis Cassin. Larry was an inductee of the Sarnia Sports Hall of Fame. His passion was his family and he enjoyed gardening, walking, bird watching and travelling. Larry will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. The memorial service will be held immediately following in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 1:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy donations may be sent to Habitat for Humanity, 1787 London Line, Sarnia, N7T 7H2 or the Sarnia & District Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St., Sarnia, N7T 7W8.
